"Mercedes" pulls about a thousand cars from the Russian market


Mercedes announced that it intends to withdraw 944 cars from the Russian market after the discovery of technical problems in it.

The recall will include some Mercedes-Benz Class-Class cars launched in Russia between February and April 2018, the company said.

She pointed out that the experts discovered in these cars defects related to the work of electronic control systems ESP, which may lead to an increased risk of skidding cars on the roads if they are overloaded.

Some owners of Х-Class cars in Russia have recently complained that ESP systems in their vehicles sometimes work poorly, and sometimes never, and the dashboards show warning messages they did not find in the vehicle's instruction manual.

For its part, "Mercedes" it will communicate with the owners of cars affected by these problems in Russia, to come to its authorized centers to repair those problems for free.

It also assured the owners of Х-Class on the territory of the Russian Federation to review its approved website to check whether their vehicles are among the batches of vehicles experiencing such breakdowns.
